So, we have made it to the end of this term – one that has been a strange and unsettling time for all of us. I’d like to thank you for the quick transition you have made from parent or carer to home-school teacher. From the many posts and comments we have seen online you are clearly absolute naturals! It has been a real pleasure to see so many families doing great learning, and having great fun, together!
We share our latest news and annoucements here…
We’ve had a fabulously busy week here at Rownhams. On Wednesday we held our annual Biathlon and on Thursday, of course, it was World Book Day! It was wonderful to see so many bikes in school and the children enjoying being active and outside despite the rain! The costumes—as you can see below—were amazing and really helped us to celebrate the wonderful world of books! Next week, we will open up our Book Fair, which will raise much needed funds to help us buy more new books for our library and classrooms—so your investment will support a good cause!
This week we celebrated our School Value of ‘Love’. All the children took part in a range of activities that demonstrated our core value and to remind us why ‘Love’ is so important to our school. We have also had a number of project launches this week, including the visit of the Space Dome for Year 1/2 that doubled as a Dinosaur Dome for Year R in the morning.
It’s been a busy week at Rownhams as we draw this half term to a close. We have had two outcomes and a great presentation from our Young Carers. It’s better to hear straight from our children so in today’s blog you can read our reports from our News Team and two match reports from our footballers.
