Christmas holidays are here

We have had a wonderfully festive run into Christmas. We had Christmas jumper day last week and this week started with parties and Carols by Candlelight.

Carols by Candlelight was a magical event that served as a reminder about the real reason we celebrate Christmas. The children were outstanding and I was particularly proud of our Year R children and how the older children supported them with their reading.

Yesterday, we held a Christingle service at  St John’s in two sittings. There were some nervous teachers as in both events we had well over 100 children with lit candles. Of course, our children were exemplary in their behaviour and with a few adults on hand to help the service was another wonderful success. Thank you to Revered Graham Dixon and his team for inviting us to St John’s.

This term has been very special indeed with a wide range of memorable moments– including days to celebrate our Values, several ‘Hooks’ and ‘Outcomes’, sporting events and special services in school and at the church.

Thank you to all our parents and carers for your support over this term and we look forward to seeing you next decade!

Wishing you a truly wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!

Warm wishes,
Tim Woodford, Headteacher
