The children have once again filled the school with the sounds of love, laughter and learning. It has been wonderful to have them all back in school again.
We have survived another school closure and we can’t wait to welcome back all of our children on Monday.
This week, Year 3/4 have started their new project Bloomin’ Marvellous, Year 5/6 have been making n’ shaking as they studied earthquakes and Year 1/2 have been refreshed in their music lessons with a downpour of storm rain. Also, we now that we can reopen to all of our children on 8th March – how very exciting!
We have made it to half term so next week you can all have a much deserved break from home-schooling. I know that all the busy mums, dads and carers will be thankful to be just that – rather than a teacher, too. Well done everyone for such a great effort for keeping it all going for 6 weeks!
What a great effort from everyone this week. It’s been a very practical week at home and in school, with cooking in our KS2 phases, park designing in Year 1/2 and pirate capacity in Year R. We also have some results from our Remote Learning Survey.
Our Year 1/2 phase have brought some colour to our blog this week, whilst Year 3/4 have been preparing themselves for a Roman battle, Year R have turned into pirates – “Arrr!” – and Year 5/6 have been studying World War 2!
It’s been another busy week for Rownhams – both at home and in school. We are so proud of our children and families and their achievements. Those of you at home have continued to engage so well with the adults online and those in school have really shown a positive attitude to learning. Three weeks of lockdown down – let’s keep going!
We are now in our third lockdown and once again, very sadly, we have had to close our school to the vast majority of children. Thank you so much to all of our parents and carers for your understanding and support at this time – and well done on the home learning.
