Tiddler’s late?

We are nearly on the countdown to Christmas and the celebrations will soon begin! Remember to check out the important dates in our newsletter for all the fun that is coming soon. In Year R, Tiddler has been late again, in Year 1/2 the children have been learning to multiply using arrays, check out Year 3/4’s moving toys and Year 5/6 have been investigating pulleys.

Budding Gardeners

Thank you to the incredible support of our PTA, and in particular, Karen Terzer, as we are making huge strides forward to improving our grounds and getting our children gardening and growing their own veg! Thanks to Karen’s inrpiration and drive we have transformed our once bare field into a a series of growing beds, garden storage and great spaces for exploring and enjoying the outdoors.

Computer whizzes!

Our Year 3/4 children have become computer programmers! They have been writing algorithms to control their own smart home lighting system. “Alexa, can you turn the lights on please?”. Meanwhile, Year 1/2 have been exercising their maths brains with Mathletics, Year R have been studying autumn and Year 5/6 have been learning about the concept of creation in their RE lessons.

Evacuation Day!

We have had a wonderful start back after our week off for the half term holiday. Year R have been very busy studying shapes, learning more about dinosaurs and have been exploring magnetism. Year 3/4 have continued to work on their text the “Firework Maker’s Daughter” and Year 1/2 have published their own books based on their text “Orion and the Dark”. And, as promised, we have some photos from the Year 5/6 Evacuation Day from the last day of last half term.
