Congratulations Mrs Phillips & Family
Firstly, we must (belatedly) announce that Elliott George Phillips arrived on 23 May 2020 at 3.32pm, weighing 7.4lbs. He made a very swift appearance shortly after Mrs Phillips officially finished work (on 22nd May) and just in time for the half term. They family are well and at home and loving every minute.
I am sure you will all join me in wishing Mrs Phillips and family every happiness.
Year R's Bugs & Fairies
This week Year R have been really excited to find out more about minibeasts for the fairies. After receiving a mysterious key, small furniture and letter the children have been working hard to find out all they can about the insects. They have designed and created bug hotels and have been observing the minibeasts activity outside in the woodland area. Their teachers have even let them bring some back to the classroom! The children have made their own moving ladybirds and also created summer collages. Year R made bugs from natural materials and have written some fantastic sentences in preparation for replying to Bluebell.
Creative Learning from Home
Our Home Learners have been working on a huge range of different activities showing that they haven’t forgotten their Learning Buttons even though they haven’t been in school! Here is a selection, including stunning examples from the Creative Challenges set by Mrs Tompkins and Mr Woodford.

The sessions are likely to be for around 2 hours either during the morning or in the afternoon depending on your child’s year group. Key Worker support will be available.
More information to follow.
