Year R - What was your favourite part of our trip?
Year R have been reflecting on their school trip to Testwood Lakes and thinking about what their favourite parts were. We looked through lots of photos from our day there and each chose a photo we wanted to write about. I think you’ll agree, our writing has developed brilliantly during the year. Can you spot how we have been using our sounds and remembering finger spaces?
Year 3/4 - Haven't we grown!
We just wanted to share one last photo of the classes as they are before everyone moves up to the next stage of their time at Rownhams. It’s been a wonderful year with so many memories. The children have grown, matured and developed into fantastic young people who will no doubt do amazing things in the future. If you take a moment to look back at previous blog posts you will get a great picture of all the amazing things we have done this year. Have a relaxing summer. Good luck to all for next year. Year ¾ team.
Year 5/6 - End of Year Production
In the final days of the year, Year 5/6 performed, for the first time in years, to a live audience of adults…twice. It was fantastic to have all the parents, carers, grandparents, siblings and everyone else who attended chuckling along to the great performances. We also saved the final part of our DT cams project for the last few days where, whilst sheltering from the sweltering temperatures, children finally got to build a moving parts cam toy that they had designed themselves. As you can see, the outcomes were very impressive!
We would like to say a massive well done to all the Year 6 children on their SATs results – you did a great job and we are really proud of every single one of you. Thank you to the whole year group for your continued efforts during the year – your excellent swimming, your efforts in the Biathlon, Sports day, all our topics and your amazing Macbeth writing to bring the year to a great end. We are very sad to be saying goodbye to Mr Ewens at the end of this year also.
