Our Christian vision and values give shape to our curriculum. Through carefully sequenced subjects, children encounter powerful knowledge, rich language, inspiring stories and high-quality texts. These help them understand themselves, their community and the wider world.
How learning builds
Every subject offers children a different way to explore and understand the world. Within each one, important ideas provide threads that children return to as they move through school. Each encounter adds something new, helping them connect new learning with what they already know. Accessibility is considered from the start, so every child is supported to participate, understand and succeed.
Each subject matters
Every subject has something valuable to offer. Children build its particular knowledge and vocabulary and learn how to think, talk and work within it. Meaningful links are made across subjects where these enrich learning.
Big ideas
Children return to important ideas in different topics and contexts. These recurring threads help them recognise patterns, make connections and develop a deeper understanding of each subject.
Knowledge that grows
Learning is carefully sequenced so that new knowledge builds on secure foundations. Important content is revisited and used, helping children remember what they learn and apply it with increasing confidence.
A curriculum with purpose
Our Christian vision, rooted in the story of the Good Samaritan, shapes what we want education to make possible. We want every child to discover and develop their gifts, grow in knowledge, character and confidence, and understand that what they know and do can make a positive difference.
Children encounter people, cultures, experiences and perspectives beyond their own. Through this, they learn to notice, care and act. They are encouraged to ask questions, think deeply and consider their responsibilities to others and the world they share.

From Year 1, our mixed-age classes follow carefully planned two-year cycles, building towards clear milestones at the end of Years 2, 4 and 6. Reception follows the Early Years Foundation Stage.
